our brand

herriot is designed and made in New Zealand using local production and craftspeople. It's all about small runs and sustainability, herriot is the opposite of fast fashion.

The approach is to understated, high-quality pieces that are contemporary and lasting.  The label doesn't follow the standard pattern of seasonal launches, choosing instead to release small collections when you least expect it.

Herriot Re-store is an exciting collaboration between Bron Eichbaum (herriot) and Nicola Clegg – coming to you in 2020.

Nicola recently returned to New Zealand after 15 years in Hollywood sourcing costumes and fabrics for the film & music industries.

With this combination of creativity Herriot Re-store will be taking ordinary discarded garments and turning them into extra-ordinary unique one-off pieces.

Years in the fashion industry enable Nic and Bron to source fabulous & classic garments. Whether its the cut, or the beautiful fabric – each piece has a special quality that is worth re-storing for a new journey.

We look forward to presenting you these one-off pieces soon and giving these garments the love and respect they deserve to be enjoyed once again.

'Intersection' features an exclusive silk print by local Wellington artist Jacqui Colley.  With such a beautiful print the shapes are simple and float on the body.  It needs nothing more - no bells or whistles.
These garments work beautifully alongside utilitarian pieces that are true to the herriot aesthestic.  Garments of comfort like a boilersuit, drop crotch drawers, duster coat, linen & silk shirts and dresses you won't be able to live without.
